George Michael & Kate Moss In French Vogue

It all started when Kate grumbled about not joining her fellow catwalkers in the singer's model-packed music video for Freedom back in 1996. So what did George do? Sign up Croydon's finest cheekbones to star in the video for comeback single, White Light (let's ignore the fact it was over 15 years later, shall we?). At the time, George told Vogue Moss has become a close friend, even crediting her for resuscitating him after a bout of severe pneumonia last year and comparing Kate to his late mum. Then, brilliantly, a photo emerged of the iconic pair walking their dogs together - they're neighbours in London's Highgate Village, dontcha know.

Music-loving Kate has also been spotted at Mr Michael's concerts, most recently watching his performance at the Royal Albert Hall, and they both took to the stage at the London Olympics Closing Ceremony before partying the night away with the Spice Girls. SO fabulous. And how better to seal your friendship than with an appearance in Vogue Paris? The besties have turned cover stars for Emmanuelle Alt's October issue which declares: 'The pop star falls for the top model'. Ooh, they're just like Harry and Cara.

While Kate is her typical cover girl self, looking foxy in an embellished red gown, George graces his first Vogue cover in a dapper suit, tie and cat-that-got-the-cream grin. We've yet to see the accompanying spread shot by Mario Testino, but considering Kate and Emmanuelle are karaoke chums and the French editor starred in THAT Wham video, here's hoping for some air guitar action. Dancing Queen, anyone?
