Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow have teamed up again on a new single. The singers famously marked the end of their feud with duet 'Shame' in 2010. Robbie followed up their No2 tune that year by re-joining Take That for their
Progress album and subsequent stadium tour.
And now the singer has recruited Gary to help him pen a new song, 'Candy', which
will be Robbie’s first single from his upcoming solo album. Announcing next month’s release this morning, Robbie said: "Some
songs take an age to write and some songs just fall out of your mouth
completely formed, and you don't have to think about it. "I don't know why that fell out of my mouth and out of my brain at that
particular time - it just did."
Robbie also revealed his Take That comeback was merely a time-filler during a
break from his solo career. He said: "After the Take That reunion - a busman's holiday, a break from
my career which re-energised me in many, many ways - I wanted to come back
with a massive solo album."
His ninth studio album 'Take The Crown' comes out on November 5, one week after
the release of 'Candy'.
The father-to-be
recorded the 11-song collection in Los Angeles and also features a duet with
US singer Lissie on a song called 'Losers'.
